Human Rights in action

Union Romani Voice is a Roma-led charity based in Ipswich, Suffolk (UK), working nationally and internationally to support Roma and Romanian communities experiencing poverty, discrimination, social exclusion, and human rights violations.
We deliver frontline community support, alongside strategic advocacy and policy engagement, to ensure dignity, safety, and equal access to rights for the most marginalised people in society. Our work is rooted in lived experience, strengthened by professional expertise, and driven by a commitment to social justice, equality, and systemic change.

Our Mission

To build a more inclusive and equitable society where Roma people are valued, heard, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Supporting Those in Need
We assist Roma people facing disadvantage—whether due to age, health, disability, youth, or financial
hardship—by improving access to essential services and tailoring programmes to meet community needs.
Advocating for Human Rights
We promote dignity, justice, and equal treatment, ensuring Roma voices influence decisions that affect housing, health, and wellbeing.
Promoting Equality & Diversity
We raise public awareness of Roma heritage and challenge discrimination through arts, culture, and education—helping to build more inclusive public services and stronger community relations.
Preserving Roma Culture
Our Roma Heritage Centre and Exhibition Gallery celebrates Roma arts and traditions while educating others and inspiring new generations.
