Mental Health

We recognise that individuals within the Roma community can experience stressful situations around the areas of family support, finance, welfare and racism.  Some also have challenging life experiences to deal with such as trauma, including as adverse childhood experiences, children in care experience, issues of domestic abuse and those associated with asylum claims and moving to different countries and cultures.

The Union Romani Voice team has a qualified Social Worker with high work and life experience and deep understanding of trauma.  We offer each individual 10-15 minute every time to have a coffee and see how they are, and we guide and support in the right direction.
